While out in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, I found this amazing wall of ivy and absolutely fell in love. While these leaves have only started to change, I can only imagine how pretty they'll be as they color. I love how romantic ivy walls are. They remind me of farm cottages in the English or French countryside, and I've always dreamt about living in one. The cottage would have a little art studio with big windows to bring in the light, and outside would be a small garden with vegetables and a tiny orchard of fruit trees. I would have large dinner parties every night in the backyard and listen to music while sipping wine. Someday guys, someday.
On another note, fall is everywhere and I'm loving it! From the crisp smelling air, to the cooler weather, and all things pumpkin and pie, it's the season to start layering, go apple picking, and enjoy the changing leaves. I've been in denial that summer has been over for the longest time now, but I'm finally welcoming sweater weather in full force.
I wore this black maxi dress by A.L.C with a sheer, slit skirt and open side details that really make this minimal dress far from basic. I only discovered A.L.C. last year, but have been loving this line ever since. A.L.C.'s founder Andrea Lieberman was a former stylist turned designer, and her line has come to represent the modern woman's wardrobe, with casual, sophisticated, and luxurious pieces that exude confidence. I paired her dress with one of my favorite boots, the Stanton Chelsea by Rag & Bone, and my every day tote bag from Zara. I love investing in pieces that I end up using every day, and everything in this outfit, from head to toe, are pieces I use so often that I cannot live without them.
On a last note, happy fri-yay dear friends! Hope your weekend will be fall-tastic!
