How to Style a Slip Dress

Aquazzura patent leather flats and Fossil crossbody bag

transition into SUMMER

Whether it be denim overalls, choker necklaces, or Doc Martens, I love that 90s trends have found their way back into fashion. As of late, the lingerie-inspired slip dress has been a favorite outfit of mine for the summer (yay sun!).

For a day look, this easy breezy slip dress from Urban Outfitters is perfectly paired with a choker by Kavano, dressed down with a white crop top by Zara, and worn with patent leather flats by one of my favorite shoe designers, Aquazzura.

Let me know which 90s trends you're loving!

transition into evening

It's so easy to transition your slip dress for an elegant night out! Ditch the layers, put on some heels and a nice clutch, and your date night outfit is set! For cooler nights, add a structured trench coat for an elevated look. Love this styling by one of my fave bloggers, Talisa Sutton from Badlands. I mean come on, that silhouette, those heels?! I'm in love. Check out her look here!

transition into FALL

As summer transitions into fall, there's absolutely no need to store away your slip dresses into the back of your closet. These versatile pieces are even better as you play with layers and colors for the cooler months.

Love how model and blogger Natalie Lim Suarez styled her slip dress with a mock neck, long-sleeved shirt and the cutest French beret. The pop of mustard yellow is absolutely divine, and reminds me of the fall leaves that will come as the seasons change. Check out Natlaie's blog here!
