Hope you all spent a lovely Easter weekend relaxing and eating candy, hehe! Once Easter comes and the weather is slowly warming up, I get super excited to rotate the pieces in my closet with spring pieces. Today I wanted to share with you the perfect shirt dress for spring. A white button up is such a classic and timeless piece, that it makes sense to turn the flattering silhouette into a dress. This shirt dress is by Anne Klein and I love the extra long length, the luxe satin fabric, and the waist tie. It has side slits, but I unbuttoned part of the front as well to create more drama as I walk. A shirt dress is one of those pieces that can look great on anyone and any body type, and dressed up or down - a definite closet staple.
I paired the dress with these cute kitten heels by Nine West (unfortunately sold out). Kitten heels have been all the rage this spring, from the runways to the shows, amazing designers are coming out with their beautiful takes on the elegant heel: Prada, Ganni, Dior, The Row, Miu Miu, Tibi (and the list goes on). Usually under 2 inches, kitten heels are comfortable, yet elongate your legs and give the illusion of a high heel. Comfort is key in my fashion book!
I finished off the look with my treasured Mia Shoulder Bag which I've been carrying nonstop, as seen here, and here! I've linked the items for you to shop below, and similar choices for the items that are no longer available.
What do you all think of the shirt dress? Do you own one, and how do you style yours? What are you most excited to wear now that it's spring? Would love to know in the comments below!
